Topic 10: Process Continuity

Process continuity involves learners in evaluating what is required to solve a problem in terms of language forms, functions, discoursal strategies, ways of conceptualizing and organizing ideas and content knowledge. Process continuity is similar to Johnson's notion of task dependency, except that it is learners rather than teachers or materials writers who establish these continuities (Candlin 1987).
